ABOUT
_edited.png)
I am an interdisciplinary artist working with performance, film, movement and community. My practice merges the personal, political, and experimental; deconstructing narratives to subvert expectation, explore lesser-known perspectives and push performance boundaries, engaging audiences in new ways. I specialise in working with devised, collaborative and alternative new writing processes.

Recent projects as a freelance director, dramaturg and movement director include Finding Melania (film & stage), The Walk Little Amal (Good Chance & The Walk Productions) and Une Histoire Pop (L’Ouvrier du Drame). I am Artistic Director of Flight of the Escales with whom I direct and produce original work for stage and film.

I trained at Jacques Lecoq International School of Physical Theatre (Paris), the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Collaborative and Devised Theatre BA Acting) and in Documentary Film Making at NFTS. I am an active member of The International Dramaturgs Network.

My work is political, playful and poetic, drawing on the mundanity, absurdity and beauty of the everyday, as well as the epic, the mythical and the surreal. I am interested in deconstructing narratives; subverting expectations and challenging the status quo. I am motivated by platforming voices, experiences and perspectives of those we often ignore, dismiss and mis-represent, with a tendency to work with female narratives. My process is informed by my background in movement, clowning and physical theatre as well as my interest in the deconstructed, the intimate and the stripped back.

I've lived and worked in Germany, Spain and France and continue to work internationally and collaborate with creatives and companies around the world. I received funding from the Arts Council and an EU STEP grant to fund research into multi-lingual collaborations and adapting work for an international audience.
As a teacher and facilitator I've taught at various places in the UK and internationally.
